What does HackerNews think of elegant-emacs?

A very minimal but elegant emacs (I think)

Language: Emacs Lisp

#27 in Emacs
Without meaning any offense to the OP, I think this is a pretty low bar for Emacs eye-candy... Nicolas Rougier's "Nano Emacs" [0], or his previous "Elegant Emacs" [1] are better examples. You can also get pretty far using variable-pitch mode for mixing fonts (for example in org-mode [2]).

Yes. Also https://github.com/rougier/elegant-emacs and pretty much everything else in his Emacs section.
Evil mode makes org-mode very approachable for anyone familiar with vim. Grab doom emacs or spacemacs if you want it to just work.

Also, Elegant[1] is an attractive and simple config. It would probably be worth packaging it or something very similar up with CUA bindings and marketing it as just a standalone notetaking app with Emacs just being an implementation detail.
