The team based real time collaboration in Excalidraw+ is just fantastic. Glad to have a way to compensate the author:

Sadly not out of the box im afraid, there is a plugin for that though [1]. This plugin is not as advanced as say onenote, but it works for small things

Love Obsidian. My main problem with it and similar markdown apps for notes is the way they store images and attachments. I find it very confusing to maintain multiple files per note and IMO the only app that nailed it is FSNotes[1] using the textbundle[2] format (with a custom implementation for encrypted notes too). I think it's elegant and future-proof.

But FSNotes is for the Apple ecosystem only and I can't tie myself to a single platform for something so important (I don't need another artificial reason to make OS switching so difficult).

I hope the textbundle feature request[3] gets some love soon. It would be great for Excalidraw files integration too[4].

Obsidian.md is a pillar in the modern "Tools for Thought" space (along with logseq and Roam Research). Obsidian's plugin ecosystem is enormous, and features robust, bidirectional integration with Excalidraw. Notes in your diagrams, diagrams in your notes... combining text and visual/spatial sketch and whiteboard tools is profoundly powerful.

Now there's also ExcaliBrain which builds on Obsidian's graph view:

For anyone looking in this direction, Obsidian[0] with the excalidraw-plugin[1] is an awesome solution: Free for personal use and cross-platform.

It's a slight tangent but as an Obsidian user, the Obsidian-Excalidraw plugin^1 is kind of jaw-droppingly, amazingly good at combining the many things each tool does well into a seamless, customizable UX.
