What does HackerNews think of semantic-kernel?

Integrate cutting-edge LLM technology quickly and easily into your apps

Language: C#

Microsoft has Semantic Kernel: https://github.com/microsoft/semantic-kernel

> The SK extensible programming model combines natural language semantic functions, traditional code native functions, and embeddings-based memory unlocking new potential and adding value to applications with AI. > SK supports prompt templating, function chaining, vectorized memory, and intelligent planning capabilities out of the box.

I can't speak from experience whether it's better than LangChain, however.

I am working on some ideas that leverage the recent development in AI/ML esp. Large Language Models. I am exploring to use https://github.com/microsoft/semantic-kernel and similar technologies to develop apps with AI first mindset.

Another good alternative is Semantic Kernel - different language(s), similar (and better) tools, also OSS.

Super excited to share what my team and I have been working on the last several months: the Semantic Kernel!

We're at this cultural moment when it seems like almost anything is possible with AI. The Semantic Kernel is our way of engaging with and sharing our learnings with the open-source community expressed as an SDK.

It's still the early innings, and we might get some things wrong, but that's the beauty of building in public and in open-source!

I'm incredibly grateful to be working with such amazing teammates and now with the rest of the community!

To building the future together!
