On a related note, you can look at hyperswitch [1], which is an open-source payment orchestrator that supports multiple payment processors. You can self-host it or they have a hosted version as well.

Many thanks for posting us on HN. I'm Vimal, Founder/CEO of Juspay.

Hyperswitch is an Open Source, Fast, Reliable payments switch that lets you connect with any number of payment processors with a single API.

HyperSwitch allows you to embrace payment diversity with ease. It helps in: (a) drastically reduce payment ops and dev efforts in managing payments (b) improve payment success rates (c) reduce processing costs.

We chose Rust as the programming language for its performance, type-safety and efficiency. Early results on throughput and latency are encouraging. Our roadmap is open for the community's feedback. We will have a prioritization process that is open and community driven.

We (Juspay) is the largest payments orchestrator/switch in India, running for the last 10 years, processing 35 Million Transactions per day. India is a very diverse market with 100+ payment methods & processors and we built a solution which is >1 Million lines of Haskell code over 10 years. Now, we wanted to take our learning and build it fresh for the US market as an open source, community-driven product.

We are committed to this initiative for the long term, and our upcoming ProductHunt launch (https://www.producthunt.com/products/hyperswitch-2) is our first step towards the long journey. We are on Github (https://github.com/juspay/hyperswitch), and would love your feedback. Happy to answer any questions you may have!
