There is a project like this:
https://github.com/darlinghq/darling
Well, there is the Darling project. https://github.com/darlinghq/darling
https://github.com/darlinghq/darling but it's very early.
The other way around would be https://github.com/darlinghq/darling
Is there a Linux Subsystem for MacOS?
I know about Darling [1] but don't know about how practical it can be because I'm assuming all proprietary frameworks like the core web framework aren't implemented there.
From their GitHub page[0]: "Please note that most GUI applications will not run at the moment."
It can come down to one program that doesn't have a good alternative on another OS, my version of that are the DAWs / music production tools I know and love.
Wine solves a lot of this (but not all) for Windows programs, the macOS equivalent Darling[0] seems to still has some way to go until GUI programs are reliably supported.
It's called Darling, apparently it works well for most Terminal apps while support for GUI apps is still limited at the moment
