MacOS had two amazing editors before SublimeText and VS Code came along.

TextMate and BBEdit.

TextMate is no longer supported (if I remember correctly).

But BBEdit is still going strong.

To this day, BBEdit's diff utility is still my favorite.

Also, BBEdit always provided free, incredible and comprehensive user manual PDF.
