I don’t see farms of the future being outdoors because of the need for climate control and the decreasing availability of land competing with housing and other developments. Even beyond that, there’s issues with soil quality that seem to suggest something like hydroponics would be more efficient.
There's tons of land unused in the US. But I also agree with you. I haven't played with this one yet, but it looks very nice for automated hydroponic setups.
